Studies indicate that there are no known negative side effects with Beta Glucan. However, if you are taking an immunosuppressant drug due to a transplant surgery (e.g. liver, kidney, etc.) it is recommended that you avoid taking Beta Glucan altogether. If you have any concerns it is always best to err on the side of caution and check with your medical professional.

That is a question I am getting quite often. I personally have taken glucan for the last maybe ten years, I’m just getting old, there’s no doubt about it. So when my back hurts I take Ibuprofen or some version of it and I don’t stop taking glucan. So, I don’t think so, it is basically impossible to do any significant harm.

The simple answer is Yes!
Many people are on multiple medications because of obesity, poor diet, and issues with Cholesterol & Blood Sugar. Beta Glucan can be taken with cholesterol-lowering drugs, chemotherapy, antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals. All of these things have been thoroughly researched and shown that when taken side by side with Beta Glucan, it is not only safe but they actually showed more benefit (through modulation of the immune system), as far as outcome, when combined with these “standard of care” drugs.
